Job Description
Introduction
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Microsoft Azure Sales Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our Azure cloud business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SMCC (Small, Medium, and Corporate Customers) segment sales, with expertise in identifying, developing, and closing Azure opportunities across Infrastructure, Data & AI, Security, Modern Work, and Application Modernization solution areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Azure cloud sales and achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities for Azure services and solutions.
- Engage with CXOs, IT Heads, and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and position Azure solutions effectively.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Work closely with Microsoft account teams, partner ecosystem, and internal technical teams to generate demand and accelerate deal closures.
- Lead customer presentations, solution discussions, proposal development, and commercial negotiations.
- Promote Azure consumption growth through CSP, EA, and MCA programs.
- Drive opportunities around Azure Infrastructure, Migration & Modernization, Data & AI, GitHub, Security, and Managed Services.
- Coordinate customer workshops, assessments, and proof-of-concepts (POCs).
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and emerging Microsoft technologies to identify new opportunities.
- Ensure timely forecasting and reporting of sales activities and business performance.
Requirements & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- 4 to 5 years of experience in IT sales/business development on Microsoft Azure solutions.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services, including:
- Experience in selling cloud solutions under CSP, EA, or MCA models.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with pre-sales, delivery, and partner teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or other Azure certifications will be an added advantage.
- Existing relationships with customers and Microsoft field teams are preferred.
- Achievement of Azure revenue and consumption targets.
- New customer acquisition and account expansion.
- Pipeline generation and conversion ratio.
- Number of customer engagements, workshops, and POCs initiated.
- Managed Services and cross-sell/up-sell opportunities generated.
- Accuracy of sales forecasting and CRM hygiene.
