The client scaled its operations across pre-production and production environments, it faced the need for:

o A scalable and cost-efficient storage layer for application uploads and CMS files.
o DevOps-integrated storage pipelines (Jenkins pulling builds from S3)
· The ability to share storage across multiple Amazon EC2 instances in a cost-efficient and high availability configuration.
· Separation of environments to maintain data integrity and reduce risk.

Delivery
Saints & Masters designed and implemented a scalable, secure, and highly available storage architecture on AWS to address the client's growing operational needs across pre-production and production environments.
· A centralized storage layer was established using Amazon EFS to enable seamless file sharing across multiple Amazon EC2 instances. This allowed application servers to access common CMS media files and build artifacts in real time, ensuring consistency and high availability without manual synchronization.
· For object storage and DevOps integration, Amazon S3 was implemented as the primary storage for application uploads, static assets, and CI/CD build files. Jenkins pipelines were configured to pull build artifacts directly from S3, streamlining the deployment process and improving efficiency.
· Containerized workloads and build images were managed using Amazon ECR, enabling secure storage and version control of Docker images across environments. To enhance content delivery performance, AWS CloudFront was integrated to distribute static content with low latency.
· Environment separation was strictly enforced by isolating pre-production and production resources, ensuring data integrity, and minimizing operational risks. Monitoring and logging were implemented using Amazon CloudWatch to provide real-time visibility into system performance and health.
· To ensure data protection and business continuity, a comprehensive backup strategy was implemented using AWS Backup. Automated backup policies were configured for EFS and other critical resources, enabling reliable recovery in case of failures.
